Dianthus (Sweet William) is an excellent candidate for fall planting without protection in zone 6 and warmer, and will benefit from protection with low tunnels in colder zones. Plugs for fall planting are currently available to order. Dianthus also thrives with a cool start in the spring — we will offer a full selection of plug plants for spring shipping beginning on October 7 at Noon Eastern Time.
