Japanese Anemones are the star of the late-season cutting garden. Despite their delicate, wind-swept look, these perennials are generally hardy in USDA Zones 4-8, suiting most temperate climates. They thrive in part shade to full sun and well-drained, moist soil. Flower farmers and gardeners love their prolific blooms, a steady source of cutting stems when many plants have stopped blooming in late summer and early fall, giving happy flowers again and again.
