Campanula Champion II White

8 Plugs Shipped in a Mini Greenhouse

Planting Guide:

Fall - plant approximately 6 weeks before your first hard freeze date.

Campanula Champion II is generally suitable for fall planting in USDA zones 6 and higher (unprotected), and Zones 5 and below with additional protection from a greenhouse, hoop house or frost cloth. This is strictly a guideline and we cannot guarantee winter survivability.

Early Spring (cold soil) - plant at least 2 weeks before your last frost date, while days are still short.

Campanula Champion II is a day-length sensitive variety that must be planted during short-day conditions to perform well as a cut flower. If planted too early in the fall, or late in the spring - when days exceed 12 hours - it will initiate buds prematurely, often blooming on short stems before the plant is fully established. Fall planting allows the plant to remain vegetative through winter, resulting in strong, tall stems and full flowering in spring. Originally developed as an annual alternative to biennial Campanula medium, the Champion II series is more uniform and available in four colors: Deep Blue, Lilac, Pink, and White. Best suited to full sun and well-drained soil. For northern growers, a protected tunnel may be necessary if fall ground freezes early.
