Campanula Champion Lavender, also known as Campanula medium, has beautiful bell-shaped blooms in a sought-after shade of lavender-purple. Seed for this variety can be tricky to come by and in short supply, so we are thrilled to be able to offer it. Tall, stately stems are strong and covered in upward-facing blossoms that hold up well in a vase.

What You’ll Receive:

  • Campanula Champion Lavender plug plants
  • 8 standard plug plants roughly 1" x 1" x 2"
  • 1 recycled & reusable mini greenhouse

When to Plant:

  • Cool Soil (At least 2 weeks before last frost date in spring)
  • Fall Planted (Approximately 6 weeks before your first frost date in the fall)

This variety might be delicate in appearance, but it’s actually quite hardy and can be grown across a wide range of climates if planted in an area with full sun and well-drained soil. If growing in a colder zone, fall-planted plugs will perform better with some additional protection. Campanula Champion Lavender is a day-length sensitive variety that must be planted during short-day conditions in the fall or early spring to perform well as a cut flower. Please see our Growing Guide for detailed instructions on how to grow this beautiful variety.

Campanula Champion is generally suitable for fall planting in USDA zones 6 and higher (unprotected), and Zones 5 and below with additional protection from a greenhouse, hoop house or frost cloth. This is strictly a guideline and we cannot guarantee winter survivability.
