Ship Week

Hardy Aster Hybrid Liz (3 plugs)
Ship Week
Hardy Aster hybrid Liz, bred by Danziger, produces abundant clusters of violet-blue flowers on strong, straight stems. Reaching approximately 28 to 32 inches tall, it has a natural, airy appearance that adds a burst of color to the garden and bouquets in the fall, when most other perennials are winding down.
Exactly What You’ll Receive
- Aster hybrid ‘Liz’ plug plants
- 3 chunky plug plants roughly 2.25" x 1.5" x 2"
- 1 recycled & reusable mini greenhouse
When to Plant
- Warm Soil (After all threat of frost has passed in spring)
Aster hybrid Liz is grown for its abundant flower clusters, sturdy stems, and long-lasting blooms. The violet-blue flowers are approximately 1.4 to 1.6 inches across and work well for adding color and volume to bouquets. Plant in a sunny location with well-drained soil, and provide good air circulation to support healthy growth. Harvest stems when the flowers are sufficiently open for your intended use, and remove spent blooms to keep plants tidy. These plants stay vegetative until the days shorten towards the end of summer, so this color contrasts beautifully with the changing leaves in the fall. With a reported vase life of over two weeks, it is a useful filler flower for both home gardeners and professional flower growers.
