'Provence' Lavender offers a taller, more expansive presence with long mauve-purple flower spikes rising above its silver-green foliage. As a lavandin hybrid ( Lavandula × intermedia ), it is especially suited to warmer or more humid conditions and is prized for its strong fragrance and abundant blooms. It's a great choice for those wanting long, strong cut flower stems, or for those looking to harvest the lavender for the oil or for dry flower production. This variety can be grown in USDA hardiness zones 5-9 as long as the soil is well draining, especially in the winter months.
