Lisianthus Celeb 2 (8 plugs)

Lisianthus Celeb 2 series feature rose-like blooms on tall stems, but are totally thorn-free and long-lasting in the garden and in the vase. This series dominates the Japanese Lisianthus market, and many of the cut flowers we see imported from Japan are Celeb types. Garden visitors will be asking about these incredible flowers, not often seen outside of professional cut flower facilities.

When to Plant

• Cool Soil (About 2 weeks before your 'last frost' date in spring
• Fall Planted (Approximately 6 weeks before your first frost date in the fall)

The Celeb series features large to extremely large, fully double, fringed flowers, and come in a wide range of desirable colors, making them a focal point in the garden. Bring them inside as cut flowers and enjoy a vase life of up to two weeks. Celeb and other hybrid varieties have the same parent, prairie gentian, a blue wildflower native to central Texas and the prairie states.

Lisianthus are generally suitable for fall planting in USDA zones 10 and higher (unprotected), and Zone 9 with additional protection from a hoop house or frost cloth. Any USDA zone below 9 should spring plant their Lisianthus. This is strictly a guideline and we cannot guarantee winter survivability.
