Lisianthus, or prairie gentian, come in many forms and shades, but Pucchino 1 Choco is a contender for the most unique of all. Small, single, chocolate-milk flowers grow in sprays that last up to two weeks in a vase; not a focal flower, they complement others with their unique hue.

Exactly What You'll Receive:

  • Lisianthus Pucchino 1 Choco plug plants
  • 8 standard plug plants roughly 1" x 1" x 2"
  • 1 recycled & reusable mini greenhouse

When to Plant:

  • Cool Soil (About 2 weeks before your 'last frost' date in spring)
  • Fall Planted (Approximately 6 weeks before your first frost date in the fall)

This unique little chocolate-brown, single-petaled Lisianthus is a distinctive choice for your cut flower garden. Flowers stay cup-shaped when fully open, but you can reflex the petals on cut stems for a more blown-open look. This rare color is highly sought after in the cut flower industry because it pairs well with so many palettes. For best results, plant Lisianthus in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Lisianthus have some specific growing requirements; visit our Lisianthus growing guide to learn how to keep yours happy and healthy.

Lisianthus are generally suitable for fall planting in USDA zones 10 and higher (unprotected), and Zone 9 with additional protection from a hoop house or frost cloth. Any USDA zone below 9 should spring plant their Lisianthus. This is strictly a guideline and we cannot guarantee winter survivability.
