Is Statice the MVP of the dried flower league? The bold, papery crests bloom profusely, dry without a fuss, and retain their color and satisfying texture in everlasting creations.

Exactly What You’ll Receive

  • Statice Hipster plug plants
  • 8 standard plug plants roughly 1" x 1" x 2"
  • 1 recycled & reusable mini greenhouse

When to Plant

  • Cool Soil (About 2 weeks before your 'last frost' date in spring)
  • Fall Planted (Approximately 6 weeks before your first frost date in the fall)

Statice is the perfect flower for drying as it looks the same dried as it does fresh from the garden. It has clusters of beautiful flowers in Blue or Apricot which will attract pollinators and add a splash of color to your gardens or vases. These prefer cooler weather to get established and will flower when the weather starts to warm up.  Best suited for fall planting in warmer zones, or in cooler zones with extra protection from the elements. These plants love full sun and can tolerate dry conditions once they're mature.

Statice Hipster is generally suitable for fall planting in USDA zones 8 and higher (unprotected), and Zones 7 and below with additional protection from a greenhouse, hoop house or frost cloth. In warmer zones it will actively grow through the winter and flower in the early spring, and in cooler zones it will start flowering late spring and early summer. This is strictly a guideline and we cannot guarantee winter survivability.
