Exactly What You’ll Receive

  • Snapdragon Chantilly plug plants
  • 8 standard plug plants roughly 1" x 1" x 2"

When to Plant

  • Cool Soil (About 2 weeks before your 'last frost' date in spring)
  • Fall Planted (Approximately 6 weeks before your first frost date in the fall)

Snapdragons are cool flowers that love a chilly start to life in your garden. Choose a full-sun spot for your plugs, and they will reward you with a steady display of abundant blooms that make superior cut flowers.

The plugs are best planted just before your last outdoor frost in the spring to bloom early in the summer. Give a blossom a gentle squeeze and watch it "snap" to life. The long-stemmed flowers bring nostalgic charm and elegance to garden borders and spring flower arrangements.

This variety can also be fall-planted in USDA zone 7 and higher without winter protection.

Successful overwintering of fall-planted Snaps in USDA zone 6 and below may require a greenhouse, hoop house, or frost cloth and low hoops. Fall planting plugs for spring flowers comes with the thrill of risk and reward; these recommendations are guidelines and not guarantees of winter survivability.
