Maryland Snapdragons bring back the charm of classic snapdragon blooms, but with a refined color palette. These tall, traditional-shaped flowers come in sophisticated designer shades, making them equally suited to nostalgic garden borders and elegant floral arrangements.
Exactly What You’ll Receive
- Snapdragon Maryland plug plants
- 8 standard plug plants roughly 1" x 1" x 2"
- 1 recycled & reusable mini greenhouse
When to Plant
- Cool Soil (About 2 weeks before your 'last frost' date in spring)
- Fall Planted (Approximately 6 weeks before your first frost date in the fall)
Sturdy and cold-tolerant, the Snapdragon Maryland series can be planted in fall in most zones; in zones 7 and colder, provide a bit of winter protection to help them thrive. Available in two irresistible colors: Lavender, an appealing, classic snapdragon form in a sophisticated lavender shade with a subtle color gradient, and Apple Blossom, a romantic blend of soft pink and white. These snapdragons combine childhood whimsy with grown-up garden style. Give a bloom a gentle squeeze and watch it "snap" to life.
Successful overwintering of fall-planted Snaps in USDA zone 6 and below may require a greenhouse, hoop house, or frost cloth and low hoops. Fall planting plugs for spring flowers comes with the thrill of risk and reward; these recommendations are guidelines and not guarantees of winter survivability.
