Rare among perennials, it can be cut early, late, in bud or in full bloom. Its star-shaped, succulent-like flowers are beautiful dried or as textural filler in fresh arrangements. Autumn Joy brings a green-to-pink palette that blends into any floral design, and is a little more pink than 'Autumn Fire'. Notoriously hard to kill, Sedum grows under most circumstances, so gardeners love planting it in places of uncertainty. It loves full sun and well-drained soil but will also tolerate part sun and poor soils; be prepared for it to return thicker and expand each year.
